Shooting

Gyeonggi-do Shooting Range is a shooting complex constructed in May 1999. Located on a site measuring over 75,000㎡ (22,910 pyeong), with a floor area of over 7,000㎡ (2,162 pyeong), it is equipped with a large-scale shooting range and 173 shooting stalls for 8 types of firearms.

Key features are the clay shooting ranges, including 3 trap & skeet ranges (doubles) and 1 American trap range (6 stalls); 3 pistol shooting stalls (recreational); 70 10m air rifle stalls; 3 sets of 10m running targets; 2 sets of 20 stalls for 25m powder guns; and 45 stalls for 50m powder guns. In particular, visitors find great stress relief in clay target shooting, a sport originating from pigeon hunting. It's a thrill to aim for and shatter the clay targets flying at speeds of 60-120㎞/h, all while enjoying the fresh air of the great outdoors.

Other amenities include a clubhouse, fitness center, showers, restaurant, athletic field, inline skating arena, hiking trails, outdoor rest spots, and parking. Shooting is easy for even novices to enjoy after just brief on-site coaching, and it promotes patience and concentration, stamina and quickness. Shooting is emerging as a popular leisure sport for people from all walks of life, from office workers to students to homemakers. As an added attraction, the nearby mountain of Choroksan offers walking paths for taking in the fresh forest air. So, besides target practice, visitors to Gyeonggi-do Shooting Range can also easily enjoy a pleasant walk in the woods. This makes it an appealing all-purpose recreational spot not just for shooting enthusiasts, but for the whole family.
