Resting site for migratory birds
Hwaseongho Lake is located on the Seosin Gungpyeonghang Port-Maehyang-ri section (9.8km). Freshwater lake’s total area is 17.3㎢, more than two times that of Yeouido (8.4㎢).
A resting point for tens of thousands of migratory birds, Hwaseongho Lake features the mallard duck, the white-fronted goose, and the other species. During high tide, the Far Eastern curlew, an endangered species in Korea can be observed here.
