Gungpyeonghang Port photo
The Gungpyeonghang Port geosite is located near and in Gungpyeong Port, a tourist attraction representing the Hwaseong, and is famous for its beautiful sunset. In addition, visitors can enjoy the beautiful scenary of Yellow Sea, and various experience programs including mudflat experience. There is a continuous distribution of the Precambrian metamorphic rocks (quartzite, metabasite, schist). Various geological structures such as the strike-slip faults, flower structures, mafic dike, and tafoni are also observable, so it's geological diversity is high. In addition, the geotrail is a combination of geological, ecological, landscape and experience from coastal landforms such as sand beach, coastal sand dune, ecology of mudflats and migratory birds, and sunset of the Gungpyeong Port.
