Fossil Site of Dinosaur Eggs
More than 300 dinosaur egg fossils have been found in the Fossil Site of Dinosaur Eggs in Gojeong-ri geosite after the first discovery in 1999. A new neoceratopsian, assigned to Koreaceratops hwaseongensis was also found in the Tando Basin. Gojeongri is the northernmost geosite where dinosaur fossils were occurred in Korea. In addition, geological diversity is high because of the various sedimentary rocks and structures, weaterhing structures, faults and folds. Furthermore, the ecological environment of reclaimed area can be observed in this site, so the academic and educational values are very high.
