Jeongokhang Bedded Tuff

Jeongkhoang Bedded Tuff geosite, located in Jeongok Port, belong to the Cretaceous pull-apart basin, called Tando Basin. The basinfill consists of floodplain deposit, alluvial-fan deposit, mouth-bar deposit, andesitic tuff breccia, rhyolitic lapilli tuff, and lacustrine deposit. Various lithologies (sandstone, mudstone, chert, calcrete, pyroclastic sediment), faults, and joint can be found, so it's geological diversity is high. Coastal landforms, such as pebble beach, sand beach, and tidal flat can also be observed in this geosite.
